Suzan Kay Miller, 51, of 2674 S. Fourth, Alpena, died at home Saturday (Nov. 
15, 1997) following an extended illness. 

Suzay Kay Merrill was born on Aug. 21, 1946, in Alpena.  She graduated from 
Alpena High School and Alpena Community College. She married Richard Miller on 
May 13, 1967, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alpena. She was employed by HPC 
Credit Union, Hospice of Northeastern Michigan and August E. Matuzak, 
Federated Insurance. She was secretary of thye Thunder Bay Soccer Association, 
secretary of St. Paul Lutheran Church's Education Work Group, was a Cub Scout 
leader and volunteered at Besser Elementary School.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Curtis and Nathan, both of Alpena; two 
sisters, Virginia (Mrs. Kenneth)DeRosia and Christine Hall, both of Alpena; a 
brother Ray Merrill of Alpena; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by twin sons in 1969; a son, Eric, in 1976; 
her mother, Mable, in 1974; and her father, Raymond in 1993.

Friends may call at Bannan Funeral Home from 4-9 tonight and from 2-9 p.m. 
Tuesday. Friends also may call on Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 
10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Deutsch 
officiating.

Burial: Evergreen Cemetery
Memorials: St. Paul Lutheran Church, Thunder Bay Soccer Association or Hospice 
of the Sunrise Shore.
