From:  The Alpena News, Alpena, Michigan, Monday Evening, October 15, 1917, page

Mrs. Charles Whitlock, aged 30 years, all her life a resident of Alpena county,
died at the home of her mother-in-law, Mrs. Solomon King in Wilson township this
morning following a brief illness of typhoid fever.  She is survived by her
husband.  The funeral will be held Tuesday morning from the King home.

The funeral of Mrs. Charles Whitlock, who died at the home of Mrs. Solomon King
in Wilson township, Monday, following an illness of typhoid fever, was held from
the King home this morning.  The funeral was private.
