Dennis Walsh, a pioneer resident of Alpena County died at his farm in Maple Ridge 
yesterday at the age of 75. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning 
from St. Bernards Church.

Dennis Walsh was born in Kildare Ireland in 1827. He came to Alpena county 35 years 
ago, settling in Maple Ridge. He leaves a family of four children as follows: Mike, 
James J., and Mrs. Kate Monaghan of Alpena, and Mrs. Mary Campbell of Port Huron.

His wife died four years ago. He also leaves two sisters in the city, Mrs. Mc Allister,
and Mrs. Hickey.

Dennis Walsh was a successful farmer and was well thought of by the entire community 
in which he lived for so many years. His farm was one of the most prosperous in Maple 
Ridge.
