The S. Harrison General Store stood across from the Maple Ridge Presbyterian 
Church at the corner of Maple Ridge Road and Briggs Road, in Maple Ridge, 
Arenac County Michigan.  Samuel Harrison farmed in Clayton Township until 1920 
when he rented his farm, purchased the General Store and ran it for 17 years.  
Those identified in the picture are from left, Ambrose DeFord, father-in-law 
of daughter Nina DeFord, Mr. Whipple, Albert Browne Jr., grandson, Albert 
Browne Sr, husband of daughter Grace.
