Canada d 8 Feb 1936 Flint MI (at the home of her daughter) Samuel was the son of William and Martha (Norris) Harrison. Mary Maria'(Johnson)Harrison (known as Maria', pronuounced Mariah)was the daughter of George and Mary Melissa Johnson (Vanderlip). The Harrison family settled in Maple Ridge, Arenac County in 1883. Samuel's father William, was killed in a train accident while driving a team of horses when Samuel was 5 yrs old. The family moved to Maple Ridge in 1883. Samuel farmed and owned and operated the Samuel Harrison General Store in Maple Ridge. The George Johnson family settled in Maple Ridge in 1882. Samuel and Maria' had six children: Grace M. Harrison (Browne) Roy Samuel Harrison, Charles William Harrison, Blanche Iva Harrison (Briggs), Nina Mildred Harrison (DeFord)and Eva Genevieve Harrison (Turner).
