The year of death was probably never engraved on the stone as his wife and only child, a daughter, preceeded him in death. Additional Comments: Elijah Harrison was born in Brant Ontario Canada to William Harrison and Martha Norris. He was a twin to Elisha and a brother to Samuel, Charles, George and Nellie. His father was killed when he was 7 years old when the team he was driving collided with a train, leaving his mother with 5 living sons and an unborn daughter. In 1886 at age 22 Elijah along with his mother and siblings came to Bay/Arenac County and in 1887 he married Bernice G. Canfield. They had a daughter, Bertha May who died at age 16 of tuberculosis and is buried next to her parents in Woodmere Cemetery in Standish Michigan. The Harrison's lived in several counties and at the time of death the last recorded address was in Lansing, Michigan.
