The L'Anse Sentinel August 1, 1891
Died Suddenly

Mr. Frank Harris, who resided in this village in its early days, died very 
suddenly at his boarding house, corner Railroad and Third streets, at about 
2 o'clock Wednesday morning. Mr. Harris had been stopping in the village 
during the past two or three months, although his family live at Houghton. 
Of late he had been indulging in drinking to excess which is supposed to 
have hastened his death. He was a quiet and inoffensive old man, and was 
esteemed by many friends in spite of his weakness. He was about 64 years of 
age. Funeral services were held Thursday a.m. and the remains given 
internment in L'Anse cemetery.
