Miss Maggie Hussey, whose illness from typhoid fever has been noted in these columns, died last Monday at the home of her aunt, Mrs. McKindles. Miss Hussey was 24 years old and came to this place from Canada, where her parents reside, something over a year ago. The funeral services were conducted from the Catholic church by Father Wallace, Wednesday forenoon, and the remains interred in the village cemetery. Being stricken down with this virulent disease while far from her home and parental care, although friends and relatives did all they could for her, renders the case particularly sad, and to add another degree of sorrow, the girl was to have been married shortly, for which anticipated joyous occasion the arrangements were nearly all completed. There is no greater truism than that "in the midst of life we are in death."
