The deceased had twice nearly recovered from the disease and suffered relapses, the last one being brought on by being caught out in the rain. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, and since last spring had been in the saloon business as partner with Mr. Finnigan. His remains were taken to Kalamazoo for burial.
