Died. 

Rev. Peter Marksman, whose imposing figure was familiar to all the old 
residents of the Upper Peninsula, died last Saturday at 1 o'clock, in the 
midst of his family, after a severe illness of about a week. He had not been 
well since an attack of the grip last winter. 

The funeral services were held at the Mission church by the Rev. F.O. Jones 
assisted by Wm. Owen. G. Bedell and D. Asher, after which the remains were 
conveyed to the family lot in L'Anse cemetery, followed by a large concourse 
of sorrowing friends and neighbors. 

The deceased was 74 years of age.
