HENRY ROSS, BARAGA PIONEER, PASSES SUNDAY EVENING
  Henry Ross, 87, well known Baraga resident passed away Sunday night after a 
lingering illness.  Funeral services were held this morning in St. Ann’s church 
with burial at the Baraga cemetery.  Fr. Anthong Waechter officiated.  The Swanson 
Funeral Home was in charge.
  Mr. Ross was born in Canada September 24, 1860 and came to Baraga in 1878.
  He is survived by his widow, six daughters Mrs. Ruby Vaughn of Trout Creek, Mrs. 
Flora Harter of Calumet, Mrs. Wm Mili of Mass City, Mrs. John F Payne of L’Anse, 
Mrs. Phyllis Olson and Miss Myrtle of Baraga, and one brother Adlore of Detroit.  
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
