He was born in Canada 59 years ago and has lived in this country 22 years. He came to L'Anse the second year after the town was laid out and, we believe, has resided here continuously since. Mr. Secotte was known as a quiet, industrious and frugal citizen, who had accumulated some property as the fruit of his industry, and was highly esteemed by all his neighbors. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Wednesday morning and the remains interred in L'Anse cemetery.
