IRA CURTIS) MARK GOLDEN WEDDING [found in scrapbook made by Climena Schaibly, now in possession of George Schaibly of Woodland, MI] LAKE ODESSA, Dec. 1 -- The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Curtis was celebrated last Sunday at their home on Fifth avenue with open house from 2 to 6 p.m. They were hosts to 115 guests. Fall flowers decorated the rooms and a four tier wedding cake centered the tea table. The couple were married November 11, 1895 at Marshall. They have resided in this vicinity for the past 40 years, moving from their farm to the village a year ago. There are two children, Mrs. E. L. Peckins of Portland, Mrs. C. R. Palmer of Lake City, and two grandchildren, Mary Jane and Donald Leak of Woodbury. _____________________________________________________________________________ ELLSWORTH MYERS - ALICE NEWTON HASTINGS COUPLE CELEBRATES 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth L. Myers will celebrate their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary Sunday, July 2nd, with an open house at their home, 2150 E. State Road, Hastings, Route 3. Friends and relatives are invited to attend from 2 to 5 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Myers were married at the Presbyterian Manse in Hastings, July 1st, 1922, by the Rev. Wilfred Lindsey and have lived in the Hastings area all their lives. Mr. Myers worked at the Viking Corporation for 43 years, retiring in 1966. The open house is being hosted by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mosher and Mr. and Mrs. Max Myers of Hastings, and Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Knox of Muskegon. Mr. and Mrs. Myers have thirteen grandchildren ad 10 great grandchildren. _________________________________________________________________________________ FRANK AND WILMA TOWNSEND TOWNSENDS TO MARK THEIR GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY Frank and Wilma Townsend of Lake Odessa will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 22, with an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. at 7333 Martin Road, Lake Odessa. The open house will be hosted by their children and families. All relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to attend. Their presence is the only gift requested.
