Harold and Carl Barnum also do this work. Leon Barnum, formerly of Coats Grove, who is now an expert tester in the employ of the State Dairy Department, has been sent to Sidnaw, U.P. to take Tuberculin tests in a herd of 40 cattle. Mr. Barnum, who is the son of Judge Barnum, of Coats Grove, has for several years been in the employ of the M.A.C. He was graduated from the Hastings High School with the class of 1898. About 20 men are employed as testers by the Dairy Department. Mr. Barnum spends most of his time traveling over the state testing herds for milk and butter. Judge Barnum's sons, Harold and Carl, who work on the old homestead, also attended the M.A.C. Both of them spend portions of the winter making tests in the employ of the Dairy Department. dz
