TAKES LIFE IN JAIL

Mrs. Carrie Kasboh, Charged With Arson, Strangles Herself With Sheet at 
Hastings

Special to The Grand Rapids Herald.
HASTINGS, Mich., Aug. 2 - Mrs. Carrie Kasbohn of Yankee Springs township, in 
jail here on the charge of trying to burn a neighbor's house, committed 
suicide this afternoon.  She tore a strip from a sheet, fastened one end 
around the grating of a window and strangled herself.

She left a  note to the sheriff saying if he had taken her home this afternoon 
this would not have happened.

She was about 54 years old, has a husband and three grown up children.  
Coroner Lathrup has impanelled a jury and will hold an examination tomorrow.
