Mrs. Martha McNee, 79, passed away on Sunday at the home of her son, Guy McNee, near Middleville in Irving Twp., the farm on which she had lived for 76 years. She was born in England, the family coming to the United States when she was six months old. Two sons, Guy of Middleville and Ernest of Colorado, two daughters, Mrs. Walter Ogden of Hastings and Mrs. Robert Baird of Middleville, thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral was at the Parmalee Methodist church on Tuesday at two o’clock, with burial in the Parmalee Cemetery. Martha Ann Greenham McNee Martha Ann Greenham was born in Gurnsey Island November 30, 1856 and departed this life February 23, 1936 at the age of 79 years 2 mos. And 23 days. At six months of age she came with her parents to this country and settled in Irving Township, where she spent practically all of her life. June 8, 1876 she was united in marriage to Wm. McNee who left this life Frebruary 21, 1922. To this union was born five children, Ernest of Denver, Colo., Jessie Baird of Middleville, Stella Ogden of Hastings and Guy of Middleville at whose home she died and Clarence deceased. She has left to mourn their loss besides these four children, fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and loving neighbors. The funeral was held Tuesday at two p.m. at the Parmalee M.E. Church. Rev. F. W. Moxon officiating. Interment was made in the Parmalee Cemetery.
