These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. _________________________________________________________________________________ Obituary The Nashville News Saturday, May 30, 1885 Died PRICE-- At his residence in Castleton, Barry County, Mich., on Tuesday, March 26, 1885, Alexander Price, aged 66 years. The funeral services were held at the house on Wednesday, and were conducted by Elder P. Holler, assisted by the choir of the Nashville Congregational church. Mr. Price was born at Clarence, Erie County, New York, March 24th, 1819. At the age of 17, in company with his parents, he moved to Ada, Mich., where he resided until the death of his parents, in 1842, when he returned to his old home in New York. December 31st, 1843, he was married to Miss Clarissa Brown, of Clarence. He and his wife remained in their old home four years, where two children were born to them. In 1847 Mr. Price and family moved to Michigan and located on the farm where Mr. Price ended his days. Three children were born to them in their new home, all of whom are still living. Mr. Price had two sisters and four brothers, who, with the exception of a brother living at Lockport, N.Y., have all passed over the dark river. Mr. Price was taken sick April 8th, 1885, and for seven long weeks suffered patiently, ready at any time to meet his maker. Deceased leaves a wife, five children and four grand- children, together with a large circle of friends, to mourn his loss. A husband true and father dear has gone to meet those gone before, and we have the assurance that if we are faithful to our maker we shall meet again. Card of Thanks A Card- Mrs. C.
