The funeral services were held at the residence Monday afternoon and the remains were interred in Lakeside cemetery. Mrs. Price was born in Ontario county, N.Y. Jan. 30, 1818. Her maiden name was Clarissa Brown. She was married at Newfane, N.Y., Dec. 27, 1843 to Alex Price and they came to Michigan in 1847 and settled on the farm in Castleton on which she died on Oct. 1st 49 years ago. We should be pleased to give a more extended history of the life of this estimable woman, who was one of our earliest pioneers, but our time is so limited this week that it is impossible.
