Bay City Times May 1963
Bauer- Christ Bauer, 76 year old retired farmer, 2857 Seven-mile road, 
KawKawlin died Tuesday [May 7, 1963] in Bay Osteopathic Hospital after a short 
illness. Born in Williams Township February 13 1887, he married the former 
Marie Kasemeyer October 2 1910 in Monitor Trinity Lutheran Church He was a 
member of Saint Bartholomew Church KawKawlin and Monitor Lutheran Fraternities 
of America. Survivors include his widow; a daughter Mrs. Herman Arnold of Bay 
City; five sons Harold, Ronald and Erich of Bay City Lorenz of Auburn and 
Ervin of KawKawlin; 24 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren; a sister Mrs. 
Elizabeth Pickelman of Frankenmuth and four brothers Stephan of Beaver and 
Adam, John and Ernest of Auburn.
