Bay City Times January 31, 2017
Billmeier, Jr., Alfred Omer, Michigan Mr. Billmeier, age 88 years, passed away 
on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region.  He was born in Saginaw, 
Michigan on December 10, 1928 to the late Alfred W. and Amanda (Hartner) 
Billmeier.  Alfred was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bay City.  He 
enjoyed spending his winters in Texas and his time at the Sunrise Senior Center 
in Omer. His hobbies included fishing, playing euchre, hunting and walking.  He 
retired from General Motors. He married the former Dolores Burdis and she 
preceded him in death on March 29, 1990. 

He is survived by his children, Kenneth (Pamela) Billmeier and Kathleen 
Billmeier, his grandchildren, Michael (Dani) Billmeier and Christopher 
Billmeier, his great-grandson, Hudson Billmeier, his sisters, Erma Allenspach 
and Ruth Behmlander, many nieces and nephews, as well as his special friends, 
Scott and Kelly Wegener. He was preceded in death by his significant other, Bea 
Wegener. 

Funeral Service will be on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel 
Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kevin C. Jones will officiate. Private interment will 
be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Frankentrost. Visitation will be on 
Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. 
Memorial contributions can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. The family 
would like to thank the staff of Sheffield Bay and McLaren Bay Region for the 
loving care they gave to Alfred.  Published Bay City Times January 31, 2017
