2011 S. Madison Ave.
Catharine Torka, 90, of 2011 S. Madison Ave died Sunday October 12, 1975 at 
the Tri-City Nursing Home; Born September 30, 1885 [daughter of Frank 
Kowalski] in Bay County. [Catherine married John Torka on April 25 1904 in Bay 
City, Michigan]
 She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William (Gertrude) Najazek; 2 son’s Carl 
and Chester Torka[predeceased by three sons, Edward, James “Jake” and 
Albert “Prince” ] 12 Grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Torka was 
a member of the Rosary Sodality, and St. Hyacinth’s Church.
