Bauer, 448 North Second stree, of drepay. Deceased came to this city in 1848, and was one of the best known well borers in the state. He bored the first salt well in this vicinity, and many of the principle wells in the valley were put down by him. On coming here he was engineer for a time on the old Emerson mill, and was also employed in that capicity at other mills. He leaves a wife, four sons, Frank Arthur, John, and William, and one daughter, Mrs. W. J. Bauer. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow from the residence mentioned, under the auspices of Saginaw Lodge, No. 77, F and A.
