Alpena News, Alpena, Michigan  9/1/1977
  OSSINEKE-Mona Metzgar, 18, died early this morning at Alpena Hospital 
following a brief illness.  She had been admitted to the hospital Aug. 25.
  Mona is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Gilbert Metzgar of 11149 US-23-S, 
Ossineke.  She was a senior at Alpena High School.
  Mona was born April 24, 1959 in Bay City and came to Ossineke to reside with 
her parents in 1967.
  Surviving in addition to her parents, are a sister, Mrs. Sandy Pfundt of Bay 
City; a brother, Roger of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. 
Catherine Little of Kalkaska.
  Miss Metzgar's body is at the Wachterhauser Funeral Home where friends may 
call after noon Friday.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. 
at the funeral home, the Rev. Sanford Wright of First Presbyterian Church 
officiating.  Interment: Garfield Township Cemetery near Pinconning.
  Memorials in Mona's memory may be made to the charity of friend's choice.
