Age 78 years. The son of the late Ford and Martha (Nowack) Middleton was born August 11, 1922 in West Branch, MI. Mr. Middleton was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He graduated from Central High School in 1942. He was a member of the Laborers Local #1098 and was employed by Michigan Frosted Foods with 40 years of service. Harold was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #9 and served with the U.S. Army during W.W.II. He is survived by his wife the former Dorothy V. Bernacky whom he married April 20, 1946 and they have been married 54 years. Also surviving are his children: Carol Tatroe Bay City, MI, David (Jeri) Middleton of Bay City, Michael (Debbie) Middleton of Bay City, Diane (Dana) South of Tampa, FL, Harold J. (Special Friend Sarah) Middleton of Bay City, Joseph (Ann Marie)Middleton of Bay City, MI, James (fiancee Kim) Middleton of West Bloomfield, MI; his grandchildren: Steven, Michelle, Katie, Tiffany, Shannon, David, Baylee, Brandi, and Joseph; one great granddaughter, laurel; his sisters and brothers: Ruth Nelson, Bess Ribble, John, Robert, George Middleton and James Nadeau; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by his son-in-law, Robert Tatroe; his brother William Middleton; his sisters; Adeline Reed and Mary Jacek. The funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, November 14, 2000 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Officiating will be Fr. Leonard F. Wilkuski with Rite of Committal following in Oak Ridge Cemetery under Auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2 to 9 P.M. The Parish Vigil Service will take place Monday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
