Bay City Times April 1927
Wegener- Mrs. Anna Mary Wegener aged 70 years died at he home in Monitor 
Township Monday afternoon [February 12, 1927] after an illness of a year and 
nine months. She was born in Bay County November 10, 1856 [to John Conrad 
Schmidt] and had resided in Monitor Township for 48 years. Surviving her are 
her husband; Lewis and 11 children, Christ and Henry of Tittabawassee Township 
of Saginaw County, Mrs. Carl Staudacher of Bay City, Lewis Jr. of Gibson 
Township, George, William, Michael and John of Williams Township; Gustave, 
Emil and Rudolph of Monitor Township; also 53 grandchildren and one great-
grandchild; Three Brother Christ Schmidt of Monitor Township, and John and 
George of Frankenlust Township.
