Bay City Times October 
Jane M. Torka died suddenly Tuesday October 25, 1988 at Bay Medical Center. 
She was born in Bay City where she resided all her life.[Born to Thomas 
Wisniewski on November 11, 1917] Jane was formerly employed in the Carburetor 
Department of C.P.C. group G.M.C, Bay City plant with 25 years of Service. She 
was a member of St. Hyacinth’s Church. Her family includes 2 sons and 2 
daughters, James Charles Cobley of Modesto CA; Randall John (Annette) Cobley 
of Bay City; Susan Bauer of Auburn and Karen Pike of KawKawlin; 12 
grandchildren: Janiesue Bertram, Todd Bauer and Aaron Bauer, Trisha and Tamara 
Pike, Stephanie Krupa and Jennifer, Daniel, Lori, Christine, Teressa and Mary 
Cobely; 1 great-granddaughter 2 sisters and 2 brothers; Irene Budzinski, 
Genevieve Haggitt and Marion Wisniewski all of Bay City and Leo Wisniewski of  
Merrill; and her dear friend Rosie. Jane was predeceased by a son Brian Cobley 
and 1 sister and 3 brothers, Regina Waltz and Thomas, John and Alex Wisniewski.
