Bay City Times; January 20, 1921
Gottfried Zimmerman, 83 years old January 8 last, a resident of Bay City since 
1872, died Wednesday night at 10 o'clock at the home of his son-in-law, George 
Wintermeyer, 1008 Nebobish avenue, Essexville, after an illness of several 
weeks. Six sons survive - Fred, of Millington, Tuscola county; Ernest, Frank, 
John and William, of Bay City; and Gustave, of Fisherville; also two 
daughters - Mrs. George Wintermeyer and Mrs. Harry Martin, of Detroit. The 
funeral will take place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Wintermeyer 
residence, and at 2:30 from Lutheran Immanuel church.

Additional Comments:
This is my great-great grandfather. He and his wife Caroline(Crepein)Zimmerman 
are buried in Green Ridge Cemetery, Bay City, Bay County, Michigan along with 
two of their children, Mary and William. But there isn't a headstone for 
Gottfried.
