Mrs. McKay Dies at Age 86
  Mrs. Bertha Ann McKay, 86, former resident of Benzie County, died Friday at 
the home of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gonyon.  She was ill 
a long time.
  The former Bertha Ann Meabon she was born April 24, 1873 at Homestead in 
Benzie County where she spent all of her years prior to coming to Muskegon in 
1957 to live with Mr. and Mrs. Gonyon.
  She was married in Benzie County, April 7, 1892 to Albert McKay who died in 
1945 at Honor.
  Mrs. McKay was a Gold Star Mother.
  She leaves eight daughters: Mrs. Orva Shane, of Chelsea; Mrs. Anna Carmean, 
Thompsonville; Mrs. Fred Gonyon, Muskegon; Mrs. Zillah Vandervort, Mrs. Doris 
Olney and Mrs. Ardith Zimmerman, all of Honor; Mrs. Elaine Milliron of 
Copemish; Mrs. Marie Scotford, Mesa, Arizona; one son Ralph McKay, Muskegon; 48 
grandchildren and more than 100 great-grandchildren.
