CLARA E. BECKSTROM passed away Monday morning, Dec. 18, 2006, with her loving 
family at her side, at home in Beulah.

Funeral arrangements are pending. A complete obituary will appear in an 
upcoming edition of the Traverse City Record-Eagle.

The Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes and Cremation Service is 
handling the arrangements.

Beckstrom, Clara Elaine  
 
BENZONIA — Clara E. Beckstrom went to be with the Lord on Dec. 18, 2006, after 
a short illness with cancer.

Clara was born in Cadillac on April 5, 1923, to Hugh and Esther Gardner. 

Upon moving to Benzonia, Clara worked and retired from Pet Milk Company after 
35 years. Until two weeks ago, she continued to work a couple days a weeks 
cleaning for her friends.

Clara will be missed by many, especially her daughters, Susan Gonyon and Jane 
Charvalia; grandchildren, Todd (Rebecca) Haysmer, Gena (Mark) Sherwood, 
Rachelle (Robert) Blackledge, Nicholas (Allison) Crocker, Valeria Crocker and 
Cody Charvalia; great-grandchildren, Michael, Eric, Syndie, Kennedy, Joseph, 
Elizabeth, Kenzie, Kade, Kace and Elik; brother, Robert Gardner; and sister, 
Jean Chilcote; many nieces, nephew and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at Benzie 
Area Church of Christ, with Evangelist Bob Bodell officiating. 

The Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Home and Cremation Service is 
handling arrangements.
