Cooper - Died March 6, 2004 BEULAH - Kay L. Cooper, 59, of Beulah, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2004. She was born June 28, 1944, in Detroit, the daughter of John and Billie Husson. Kay was an avid collector of a variety of different collectibles ranging from dolls, figurines, to even knickknacks. She enjoyed shopping, dining, country music, going to the Benzie Club House and caring for her grandchildren. Mrs. Cooper is survived by her beloved husband, Arthur Alex Cooper Jr.; three children Frank Russell DeMaggio Jr., Jennifer Kay (Assad) Georges and Robert Scott (Melissa) DeMaggio; six grandchildren Natalie, Rachel, Julia, Jacob, Cade and Sara; step-mother Connie Husson; and a brother, Tom Husson. Her parents and her twin sister, Fay Ruth Lafner, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 11, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home in Beulah, with the Rev. Alan Leonhardt officiating. Interment will be in the Benzonia Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill; envelopes are available at the funeral home.
