Curtis, 88, of Honor, Mich., formerly of the Onsted and Tipton area, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at the Adrian Health Care Center. He was born Feb. 23, 1916, in Onsted, Mich., the son of Gayle and Mary (Schultz) Curtis. Wayne graduated from Onsted High School in 1936. He married Frances Louise Kelley on Oct. 1, 1938, in Angola, Ind. She preceded him in death in March of 2003. Wayne retired from Tecumseh Products in 1976. Wayne and Frances moved to Honor, Mich., when he retired. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Wayne also enjoyed bowling and trapping. He was a member of the Tecumseh Chapter of the Masons. He is survived by one daughter, Rheta (Arlo) Renner of Onsted; three grandchildren, Wayne (Heather) Renner of Dundee, Richard (Robin) Renner of Onsted and Kelli (Todd) Dusseau) of Manitou Beach; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Jane Roan of Hudson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers and one sister. Cremation has taken place. A private interment of his ashes will take place at a later date in the Champion Hill Cemetery in Honor, Mich.
