Grostick III, 47, of Wilson, N.C., formerly of Benzonia, passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born June 12, 1957, in Ann Arbor, to Herman II and Jane Grostick. Herman was raised in Benzonia and was a Benzie County Central High School graduate. Formerly employed by Case Motors as a master mechanic, Herman was currently working as a supervisor for Cannon Roofing in North Carolina. He enjoyed playing sports and deer hunting. Mr. Grostick is survived by his wife, Debra (Plant) Grostick; mother, Jane Grostick of Benzonia; three sisters, Cris (John) McLane of Big Rapids, Elizabeth (Michael) Kevwitch of Traverse City and Teresa (Richard) Schmidt of Kaleva; a granddaughter, Riley Roberts, and her father, Reese Roberts; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father; and daughter, Angela Frederickson. Visitation will be held today, Oct. 30, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home, 1417 Beulah Hwy., in Beulah. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Biteman, officiating. Memorial contributions may be considered to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The Bennett-Barz Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
