Tooley - Died February 17, 2006 BENZONIA - Norman E. Tooley, 57, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at Munson Medical Center. He was born Feb. 24, 1948, in Frankfort, the son of Peter and Evelyn (Ramsey) Tooley. Norman married Jill M. Trost on Nov. 26, 1977, in Frankfort. He was an intelligent man with various interests, which included playing instruments, such as the drums and guitar, collecting cars, sailing, golfing, and building and restoring homes. He was a member of the Eagles and Benzie Sportsman Club. For over 25 years, Norman was employed with Smeltzer Orchard Company. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jill; beloved pet and companion, Louie; brother, Charles; sister, Kathleen Cole; niece, Terri Drafta; and numerous wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill. Visitation will be today, Feb. 19, 2006, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Ingersoll officiating. Burial will be in Benzonia Township Cemetery this spring. Those desiring may make contributions to the Eden Bible Church. The Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes & Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.
