He was at home, surrounded by his loving family. Ryan was born July 7, 1981, in Frankfort, the son of David A. and Patricia (Jones) Wolfe. Ryan was a graduate of Benzie Central Schools. He attended Ferris State University for two years, after which he went to the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Ariz., to pursue his passion in the music recording industry. In the summer, Ryan enjoyed working the Entertainment Stage at the Open Space at the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City. Ryan had also worked at the family business, Grand Traverse Tire and Wheel, for many years. Ryan enjoyed playing guitar, boating, camping, Jeeping, and being outdoors. Most of all, he loved spending time on Crystal Lake and at the Elberta Beach with his family and his best friend, Nicole. Ryan is survived by his fianc?e, Nicole Olney of Beulah; his parents, David A. and Patricia Wolfe of Beulah; his brother, Travis Wolfe of Grand Rapids; his sister, Samantha Wolfe of Beulah; his paternal grandfather, David C. (Linda) Wolfe of Beulah; his paternal grandmother, H. Ellen (Roy) Dietz of Arizona; and his maternal grandfather, Frank Jones of Beulah. Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lily Jones. Memorial services to celebrate Ryan's life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at the First Congregational Church in Benzonia, with Rev. Stephen J. Davidson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ryan D. Wolfe Memorial Music Scholarship supported by Benzie County Central Schools Educational Foundation.
