He was born March 2, 1929, in Jackson, the son of Merle and Kathleen (Bailey) Moyer. Otis retired from the Traverse City Iron Works, where he had been employed for 32 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved watching sports. On April 11, 1953, in Beulah, Otis married Pauline Lentz, who survives him. He is also survived by three sons, Otis (Maxine) Moyer Jr. of Elsie, Terry Moyer of Grawn and Daniel (Candy) Moyer of Flint; one daughter, Jane (Donald) Lordy of Clinton Township; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five brothers; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews. Otis was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Charles and Robert Moyer. Visitation will be held today, May 16, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home in Beulah. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home, with Pastor Robert Cholette officiating. Interment will be in the Champion Hill Cemetery.
