McKinnon, 104, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. She was born Feb. 21, 1898, in Menno, S.D., the daughter of Gottleib and Paulina (Shenkel) Schenk. Martha was the second of 14 children and was the oldest daughter. Martha wed Raymond McKinnon on Nov. 20, 1919. The couple moved to Frankfort in 1961, from Yankton, S.D. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Frankfort. Martha is survived by her daughter, Erma (Albert) McKinnon of Frankfort, and her son, Clyde (Ramona) McKinnon of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Sarah Fisher and Lydia Finnie both of Yankton, S.D., and Lillian Gilbert of North Carolina. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond McKinnon in 1986; and four brothers and six sisters. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the Frankfort Chapel, McElduff Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, from the First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Dinah Haag officiating. Interment will follow at Crystal Lake Township Cemetery North. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the First Congregational Church's Missions Fund or Capital Improvement Fund.
