Smith, Eileen Agnes  
 KALEVA — Eileen Agnes Smith, 90, of Kaleva, formerly of Benzonia, died 
Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont.
  She was born Jan. 1, 1916, in Frankfort, the daughter of Ebenezer and Sarah 
(Gard) Young.
  Eileen had been employed at Crystal Canning Company in Frankfort, and also as 
a clerk at J.L. Hudson's in Detroit. She was a wonderful homemaker, who enjoyed 
cooking and sewing.
  Eileen is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-
nephews.
  Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Smith in 1982; her 
sisters, LaVerna Schwendenmann, Nola Peek, Marie Hall and Martha MacGirr; and 
her brothers, Irvin Young and Leonard Young.
  Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at the Seventh 
Day Adventist Church in Frankfort.
