Arrangements are pending at the Benzonia Chapel, McElduff Funeral Homes. ------------------------------- TRAVERSE CITY RECORD EAGLE - 14 Apr. 2004 FRANKFORT - Olaf 'Ole' L. Dyrdal, 71, of Frankfort, died on Monday morning, April 12, 2004. Ole was born on March 15, 1933, in Frankfort, the son of Marcus and Britt (Johnson) Dyrdal. On Nov. 24, 1962, he married Nancy Williams, who survives. After graduation from Frankfort High School, Ole served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, being discharged with the rank of sergeant. He was a carpenter, living his entire life in Benzie County. In addition to his wife, Ole is survived by his daughter, Tina Koch of Benzonia; two grandchildren, Hope Elizabeth Koch and Eric Lewis Koch; a great- grandson, Wesley Robert Koch; a brother, Roy (Betsy) Dyrdal of Frankfort; and two sisters, Judy (Wayne) Ingelston of Beulah, and Mary Ann Johnson of Frankfort. Ole was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2004, from the Benzonia Chapel, McElduff Funeral Homes, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Gilmore Township Twp. Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Legion Post #221 in Frankfort.
