CAROL JANE PERRY, 39, died Sunday, June 19, 2005, at Munson Medical Center in 
Traverse City.
      Funeral arrangements are pending, and a complete obituary will follow in 
an upcoming edition of the Traverse City Record-Eagle.
      The Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes & Cremation Service 
is handling the arrangements.

Died June 19, 2005
      TRAVERSE CITY - Carol J. Perry, 39, of Traverse City, died Sunday, June 
19, 2005. 
      She was born April 23, 1966, in Frankfort, the daughter of Gerald and 
Frances Johnson. Carol married Mark Perry on June 23, 1990, in Frankfort. She 
graduated from Benzie Central High School, Hope College and Lake Superior 
University with a bachelor's degree in recreational management in 1988. 
      Through the years Carol has worked for various agencies helping with the 
elderly, such as Benzie County Commission on Aging, Oakland Livingston Human 
Service Agency and Traverse City Senior Center. 
      She also volunteered her time for Mother's of Preschoolers (MOPS) of Lake 
Ann United Methodist Church (LAUMC), Rainbow Growth Group (LAUMC), Adult 
Volunteer for Praised Kids (LAUMC), and was a basketball coach for 5th grade 
boys, and 3rd and 4th grade YMCA girls. She was a past member of Zonta Benzie 
County and a member of Lake Ann United Methodist Church. 
      Carol had many hobbies which included gardening, downhill skiing, 
decorating and crafts, and she enjoyed being a mother to her children.
      She is survived by her husband, Mark; children, Sam, Megan and Jack 
Perry; parents, Gerald and Frances Johnson; sister, Jeri Strickland; and 
brothers, Jim, Eric and John Johnson.
      Visitation will be today, June 22, 2005, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the 
Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes. A memorial service will be 
held Thursday, June 23, 2005, at 11 a.m., at Lake Ann United Methodist Church, 
with the Rev. Chuck Towersey officiating. Interment will be in Gilmore Township Township 
Cemetery at a later date. 
      Those desiring may make contributions to the Educational Fund for her 
children, c/o Honor State Bank, or to Lake Ann United Methodist Church. 
      The Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes and Cremation 
Service is handling the arrangements.
