Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m., at the Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Peter Eke on Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at 11 a.m., at the St. Francis Catholic Church, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Greenbriar Cemetery. ----------------------------------------- TRAVERSE CITY - Helen Xavier Pawloski went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 29, 2004, surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Tendercare of Traverse City. Helen was born on March 23, 1908, in Detroit, to John and Elizabeth (Cummings) Williamson. On Sept. 9, 1930, she married Roman S. Pawloski, who preceded her in death in 1975. Helen was a devout catholic. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, and in earlier years, she was active with the Alter Society. She loved her family and was a great mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing Yatzee and cards, especially euchre and pinochle. Helen gave of her time serving as a volunteer where needed. She is survived by her sons, Raymond S. Pawloski of New Jersey, David (Sharon) Pawloski of Traverse City and Robert (Barb) Pawloski of Grawn; daughter, Patricia R. Pawloski of Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jim Loomis; daughter-in-law, Lorena Pawloski; as well as several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her husband; daughters, Joanne Norris, Mary Brinkman and Virginia Loomis; son, John P. Pawloski; and grandson, Christopher L. Loomis; and thirteen brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m., at the Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City.
