      LAKE ANN - Cory Lee Gunther, 27, of Lake Ann, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, 
due to a motorcycle accident. He was born May 1, 1978, in Flint.
      Cory graduated from Benzie Central High School in 1996. He attended 
Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, where he earned his associates 
degree in law enforcement. 
      Cory was currently employed as a road deputy with the Benzie County 
Sheriff's Department, and was a member of the Northern Michigan Mutual Aid Task 
Force. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Frankfort Fire Department.
      In his spare time, Cory enjoyed hunting and racing. Most of all, he loved 
spending time with his family and friends, especially his daughters.
      Cory is survived by his fianc?e, Jennie M. Block; two daughters, Madyson 
Rexford-Gunther and Kelly Ann Gunther; father, Phillip (Greba) Gunther of 
Beulah; mother, Beverly (Tom) Campbell of Lakeland, Fla.; three sisters, Hannah 
Knudson, Shana Gunther and Breah Gunther; one brother, Galyn Hoeft; paternal 
grandparents, Phillip and Helen Gunther Sr. of Mt. Morris; maternal 
grandmother, Whillodean Crowe of Houghton Lake; and aunts and uncles, Alicia 
and Mark Gunther of Flint, Donna and Rick Janzen, Gary and Kathy Pease, Robert 
and Sharon Crowe, James Crowe and Wendy Inman; and numerous cousins.
      Cory was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jim Crowe.
      Visitation will be held today, Aug. 11, 2005, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 
p.m., at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home in Beulah. Funeral services will be 
conducted Friday, August 12, 2005, at 1 p.m., at the Benzie Central High School 
Auditorium, with Pastor Cliff Jordan officiating. Interment will be in the 
Homestead Township Township Cemetery. 
      Memorial contributions may be made to the Benzie County Deputy Sheriffs 
Association, Cory Gunther Memorial Fund, Honor State Bank, PO Box 67, Honor, 
Michigan, 49640.

LAKE ANN, MICH. -- Mr. Cory Lee Gunther of Lake Ann, Mich., whose mother lives 
in Lakeland, died Aug. 9, 2005, of injuries resulting from a motorcycle 
accident. He was 27.

He was born May 1, 1978, in Flint, Mich. He graduated from Northwestern 
Michigan College. He was a deputy sheriff with Benzie County in Michigan. He 
was a member of the Northern Michigan Mutual Aid Task Force and a volunteer 
fireman for the Frankfort Fire Department.

Mr. Gunther is survived by his fiance, Jennie M. Block; daughters, Madyson 
Rexford-Gunther and Kelly Ann Gunther; father, Phillip Gunther, Beulah Mich.; 
mother, Beverly Campbell, Lakeland; sisters, Hannah Knudson, Shana Gunther and 
Breah Gunther; and brother, Galyn Hoeft.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benzie County 
Deputy Sheriffs Association Cory Gunther Memorial Fund, Honor State Bank, P.O.
