Kalina SSN: XXX-XX-XXXX Last Residence: 49640 Honor, Benzie, Michigan Born: 20 Mar 1931 Died: 12 Jul 2006 State (Year) SSN issued: Illinois (Before 1951 ) ----------------------------------- Kalina Sr., Robert Edward "Bob" HONOR — Robert "Bob" Edward Kalina Sr., 75, of Honor, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Paul Oliver Long Term Care in Frankfort. He was born March 20, 1931, in Chicago, the son of Joseph and Anna (Steppal) Kalina. Bob served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1959. He had worked as a mechanic most of his life, and he enjoyed tinkering around his house and garage. He also liked old Lionel Trains, models, all types of airplanes, going to garage sales and being a loyal Cubs fan. Bob also had volunteered with Benzie County Human Services for many years. Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary; two sons, Robert (Melisa) Kalina Jr. of Copemish and John Kalina of Honor; two daughters, Doris (Bill) Pevey of Little Rock, Ark., and Bobbie Sue Kalina of Little Rock, Ark.; two stepsons, Joe (Pam) Cranford of Tennessee, and Tom Cranford of Illinois; grandchildren, Bobby III, Dana, A.J., L'ynette, T.J., Becky, Lisa, Joy and Nathan; two great- grandchildren; brother, Eddy (Josie) Kalina of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, James Cranford; and sisters, Rosie, Alice and Anne. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 15, 2006, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home in Beulah, with the Reverend Kenneth Blair officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Homestead Township Cemetery.
