     VERA E. BARE, 95, of Flushing, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at Willowbrook 
Manor in Flint. 
      Friends may visit the Benzonia Chapel of McElduff Funeral Home on Sunday, 
Dec. 12, 2004, from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 13, 
2004, at 3 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Inland 
Township Cemetery. 
      The Benzonia Chapel of McElduff Funeral Home and Cremation Service is 
handling the arrangements.

TRAVERSE  CITY  RECORD  EAGLE - 12 Dec. 2004
      FLUSHING - Vera E. Bare, 95, of Flushing, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at 
Willowbrook Manor in Flint. She was born on April 16, 1909, in Honor, to Joseph 
and Savnia Hackney. 
      Vera married Reverend John I. Bare on May 28, 1927, in Lake Ann. Through 
the years, they were Pastors of Wesleyan Churches in Saginaw, Flint and Lake 
Ann, and in Pensacola, Fla. Vera ran a bookstore and arranged speakers at 
Holiness Campground in Lakeland, Fla.
      She is survived by son, Dan (Chiho) Bare of Flushing; grandchildren, 
Daniel E. Jr. (Shyla) Bare of Edinbrough, Scotland, Deanne Jo Foster of Clio, 
Debra Cochran of Midland and John I. Bare of Flushing; six great-grandchildren; 
and several nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by husband, Reverend John I. Bare, on April 11, 
1992; grandson, Douglas John Bare; brothers, Samuel and John Fisher, and Elmo 
Hackney; sister, Rilla Link; and niece, Beulah Brown (her best friend).
      Friends may visit the Benzonia Chapel of McElduff Funeral Home today, 
Dec. 12, 2004, from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. 
Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, also at the Benzonia Chapel, with Zane and Michael Gray 
officiating. Interment will be in the Inland Township Cemetery. 
      Memorial contributions may be directed to the Willowbrook Manor in Flint. 
      The Benzonia Chapel of McElduff Funeral Home and Cremation Service is 
handling the arrangements.
