Died July 16, 2005
      INTERLOCHEN - Clifford Norman Witkop, 67, of Interlochen, died Saturday, 
July 16, 2005, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, surrounded by loved 
ones. He was born June 9, 1938, in Bendon, the son of Earl and Pauline 
(Kocevar) Witkop.
      Clifford had been an over the road truck driver for many years, most 
recently working for Morrison's, Inc. in Williamsburg. He was an avid 
fisherman; and he enjoyed traveling, working on cars, going for car rides, and 
listening to old-time country music.
      Most of all, Clifford loved spending time with his family, especially his 
grandchildren. He was a member of the Bible Methodist Church in Interlochen.
      Clifford is survived by his wife of almost 44 years, Sandra M. Witkop, 
whom he married on July 22, 1961, in Lake Ann; three children, Shelley A. 
(Dean) Geyer of Interlochen, Jennifer L. Witkop of Interlochen, and Clifford E. 
(Rhonda) Witkop of Interlochen; six grandchildren, Matthew, Ben, Kaytlyn, 
Andrew, Austin and Aaron; three brothers, David (Peggy) Witkop of Interlochen, 
Earl (Sharon) Witkop of Copemish, and John (Carol) Witkop of Traverse City; a 
sister, Peggy (Dan) Witzke of Interlochen; a sister-in-law, Shirley Witkop of 
Interlochen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
      Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Richard 
Witkop.
      Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 
p.m. at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home in Beulah.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, at the 
Bible Methodist Church in Interlochen, with his good friend, Pastor Paul Bundy 
officiating. Interment will be in the Inland Township Cemetery.
      The Bennett-Barz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
