Gottschalk b. 23 May 1935 d. 26 July 2005 (Peggy) Married 6 June 1972 ******************************************* Margaret "Peggy" Joyce (Hinsch) Gottschalk Died July 26, 2005 HONOR - Margaret "Peggy" Joyce (Hinsch) Gottschalk, 70, of Honor, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 26, 2005, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 23, 1935, in Ypsilanti, to Alpha and Helen (Boik) Hinsch. Peggy lived a rich life in Livonia with her husband, George, and in Honor for the past 20 years. Peggy was loved by all for her kindness and caring nature. Even in the final months of her life she always put others before herself. She will be greatly missed by her husband; children, Gary Smith and wife, Lori, Jeff Smith and wife, Linda and Sandy Peros; stepchildren, Linda Gottschalk, and Larry Gottschalk and wife, Heather; grandchildren, Trevor, Cara, Audrey, Wyatt, Josh, Tyler, Zach, Alexandra and Erin Paige. She is also survived by her sisters, Geraldine Gottschalk, and Beverly and husband, Larry Graham; sister-in-law, Norma Gottschalk; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered for many things, but most of all her beautiful flower gardens, intricate quilts and her sheet apple pie. She was a member of Lake Shores Garden Club, Trillium Piece Makers and Family Community Education (FCE). A memorial Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be held to celebrate her life Saturday, July 30, 2005, at 11 a.m., at St. Philip Neri Church in Empire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Munson Hospice in Traverse City or the American Cancer Society.
