Mrs. Mealoy had been ill since September of 1961, and prior to entering the hospital had been a patient at the Oak Grove Manor, Niles, and Mrs. Thomas' home in Buchanan. She had resided with her daughter, Mrs. Leo (Lucile) Sabin of 376 High Street, Benton Harbor. She was born June 5, 1869. on the banks of the St. Joseph river, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Witter. Serving as matron of the WCTU home from 1914 to 1918, Mrs. Mealoy was well- known throughout the Twin Cities. She was a member of the Napier Parkview Baptist church. Besides her daughter, survivors include three grand daughters, Mrs. Fred (Kathleen) Bennett, and Mrs. David (Margaret) Jackson, both of Florida, and Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Berndt of Bridgman; and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Florin funeral home, with the Rev. Norman H. Vernon, pastor of the Napier Parkview Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in the Jakway mausoleum in Crystal Springs cemetery.
