Mrs. Aldrich’s maiden name was Mary Elizabeth Prettyman. She was born in Weesaw township, this county on July 2, 1864, being nearly 68 years of age a the time of her death. She was married to John Aldrich March 3, 1883 and has lived in this community all her life.. She was a member of the Baptist church and the Ladies of the G.A.R. Mrs. Aldrich was loved and respected by all who knew her and leaves, beside the family many friends who will mourn her death. She leaves her husband John Aldrich, three sons, Roy and John Jr., of Three Rivers, and Burton of St. Joseph; also one daughter, Rosetta of South Bend, and an adopted son Richard at home. Another daughter, Pansy, passed away some years ago. Funeral service will be held at the Baptist church at two o’clock Friday afternoon, the pastor O.W. Brock officiating. Burial will be made at Rose Hill cemetery.
