Mitchel Alexander was born in Bucks Co., Penn., May 10, 1831.  When fourteen
years old he moved to Michigan were he has lived ever since.  About four years
ago he had a stroke of paralysis and since that time he has been in very poor
health.  He died at his home in Niles township Monday morning at nine o'clock,
age 81 years, 9 months and 23 days.  The funeral was held Wednesday morning at
ten o'clock at the house and was buried at Long Lake ceretery.  He leaves a wife
and hosts of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.  The U.B. minister of
Buchanan officiating.
