Sunday morning, Feb. 25, 1882, in the bend of the river, Mrs. SARAH A. ALEXANDER, wife of Alexander M. Alexander, age 82 years. The two had lived together 56 years. She was born in Trenton, M.J. Her whole life was pure and spotless, and she was universally beloved. She is gone, our dearest mother She is sleeping in the grave Now her pilgrimage is over She has crossed life's troubled wave. For over fifty years she cheered Our father's heart and home Then cruel death approached and laid Our mother in the tomb. Our father's heart is saddened now He sheds aflliction's tears. O, may the grace of God's grace sustain His lone declining years. We miss her presence everywhere And earth looks sad and drear When forced to think that here no more We meet our Mother dear.
