Justice L.P. Alexander, an old and respected citizen of Buchanan, aged about 70
years, died yesterday.  Mr. Alexander was a very influential [sic] man, being
supervisor for many years, and postmaster under President Grant.  The funeral
will occur tomorrow afternoon under Masonic auspices, of which order Mr.
Alexander had been a member for many years, and a number from this city will
attend.
